I think one thing we should understand about astrology is that planets are not really making us do things. They’re more like indicators of what’s already inside us and our Prarabdha

When we say someone has strong Rahu or Saturn influence, it doesn’t mean those planets are controlling their actions. It’s more that those energies already exist in the person, and the chart is simply reflecting that pattern.

A simple way to think about it is like a weather map. The map doesn’t create the storm. It just shows where certain pressures exist, wind speeds, where clouds are gathering, where things might intensify. The weather was already there, the map is just helping you see the pattern of what can be expected

This applies to all planets, even the shadow ones like Rahu and Ketu. They are not forcing behaviour, they’re pointing to certain tendencies, certain pulls within the psyche.

So the kundali itself isn’t responsible for what we do. It’s not deciding our life. It’s more like a map. If you look at it carefully, it helps you understand yourself better, your patterns, the kind of things you naturally get drawn to, how you respond etc

And sometimes when you see those patterns clearly for the first time, it’s strange… almost relieving. Like you suddenly realise you were never being controlled by the chart.
The chart was simply holding up a mirror, and for a moment you finally see yourself without the usual stories/narratives around it.
