Built a local AI agent for portfolio monitoring instead of relying on SaaS tools

Wanted to share a setup I've been running for a few weeks. Instead of paying monthly for a crypto portfolio tracker or relying on exchange alerts, I built a personal AI agent that runs on my own hardware.

It pulls data from exchange APIs directly, does the calculations locally, and sends me a structured daily report via message. No third party has access to my data or keys.

The AI layer (OpenClaw + Claude) handles the synthesis and communication. The data collection is just standard REST API calls and Python scripts.

Interesting from a technical angle because the LLM isn't doing any prediction, just aggregation and formatting. Turns raw API responses into something actually readable.
