Piaggio 1+
Hello folks!
Context:
I have recently bought a Piaggio 1+. 2026.03.05 to be exact. The price was paid in full. The shop should've delivered the bike by today, however there is no evidence of this other than verbal agreement.
They called me today that they wasn't able to charge the battery with the scooter's charger, it went into deep discharge (so i've been told) Now that i looked after what this means, i have concerns about this whole purchase. They told me (again, on the phone, no writings about it) that the factory tool will wake the battery, and they will deliver it by tuesday. (2026.03.10)
My question is the following:
How can i be 100% sure that i will have a fully functional battery? What if it was damaged because it the BMS turned it off like half a year ago? I read that it is a normal procedure to charge it sometimes, even if it just sits in the saloon. Why didn't THEY do it from time to time?
Should i be concerned? Or can someone explain to me what this does exactly, and if it's normal?
And should i ask them to write an email about this happening, so i can have proof, not just a call?
Is it even positive that they called me, and they try to fix the problem, or i should not expect big things, and the battery is probably shit?
