Damaged Item question

I’m in US and sold an old radio to a buyer in France. I shipped to eBay’s international hub in Illinois, and then A few weeks later it arrived to buyer in France, but broken. The photos she sent of item and box were not how I sent them. Obviously damaged in the long international journey, despite my strong packaging and wrap. The buyer understands that this is not my fault and she doesn’t want to report me to eBay, and I’m grateful. She and I are both wondering if there’s anything one of us can do? I have some “after” photos of what the box looked like when it arrived, but I don’t have any “before” photos of what my box looked at like when I sent it. She can check with her local Postal Service for some sort of refund, but neither one of us knows had a handle this situation for the damaged radio.
