S10.3 Supergirl

When Kara talks to Clark we clearly see her ears pierced and she wearing jewelry. Why and how? If she used kryptonite to make her earlobes vulnerable this would have been extremely dangerous.

Also in that episode she claims she searched for her mother for a long time (and did not find her) but when she bade her temporary goodbye she said she wants to look for Kandor.

In S9 we see that Kandor was destroyed 20 years prior to Krypton's destruction contrary to the superman comic lore where Kandor is the miniaturized city in a bottle on earth's moon where kryptonians do not have super powers.

On a related note: why would Zod in S9 want to build a machine that converts earth's yellow sun radiation to red? All kryptonians loose their powers under a red sun.
