Is it wrong to want affection without wanting a relationship right now?

Advice

A while back I got ghosted by someone who felt really special to me. It was pretty intense and heartbreaking, but it also pushed me to find a lot of contentment in being single. Maybe a little too much contentment?

That said, lately I’ve been craving physical affection sooo bad. I just want someone to cuddle, & kiss, & hold hands, and have a cute time. But at the same time I don’t want a serious relationship. I more so want a connection where we’re affectionate and romantic but still just living our own lives and being friends.

Would it be an asshole thing to look for that kind of connection without it being tied to anything serious?

I feel like as long as I communicate clearly about what I want and don’t want, it wouldn’t be leading someone on or hurting feelings. But I’m curious what other people think.
