Why do most people affiliated with the show seem to have a fall from grace or some shady thing associated them?

From Dominic Barbara to the Dr. that lanced Jeff the Drunk’s boil, it seems like most people who are affiliated with the show end up fizzling out or getting legal trouble? Billy West and maybe Jackie the Jokeman are the only two exceptions I can think of.

Are there any other people with post-Stern happy endings?
