Spoke with Qatar Airways today

I have a flight scheduled for the 28th of March, so I decided to call today and was able to reach them surprisingly quickly.

I asked whether there is a possibility that they might not be able to find an alternative flight for my scheduled departure, and the agent told me that it is possible, since most planes will be fully booked.

He also mentioned that, in his opinion, it might be best to purchase another plane ticket now and wait for a refund later, because this situation could potentially last for a while.

Also, he told me that even if airspace opens in the meantime, people will probably be scared to fly through Doha so QA will probably extend the free cancellation policy.

So I decided to buy alternative plane ticket and just wait for the refund.
