i stopped trying to schedule my day and just started dumping everything first. actually works

okay so i used to spend like 20 mins every morning making a schedule in notion and it would fall apart by 11am without fail.

the thing i kept doing wrong: trying to remember everything AND decide when to do it at the same time. those are two completely different brain modes and doing them together just made me freeze.

what actually changed things: i do a full brain dump first. just everything. essay draft, calc review, lunch, gym, email professor back, whatever. no order, no times. just get it out of my head onto a page.

then i sequence it. and suddenly that part takes like 5 mins instead of 20 because i'm not also trying to remember stuff while doing it.

i've been using an app called lola that does the sequencing step for me which is honestly the only reason i've kept up with it. but even on paper this method is way better than what i was doing before.

if your schedules keep falling apart this might be why
