Do very light blue/grey eyes sometimes look “dead” or unsettling to anyone else?
I’m trying to figure out if this is just me or if other people notice it too.
Sometimes when I see women with very light blue or blue-grey eyes, their eyes can look kind of… “dead” or eerie to me. I don’t mean it in an insulting way, it’s just a weird visual impression I get sometimes. It’s like the eyes look very pale or glassy, almost like there’s less contrast in them.
For example, characters like Skyler from Breaking Bad or Scully from The X-Files sometimes give me that feeling in certain scenes. I think it might be something about the lighting or how light-colored eyes look on camera.
But at the same time, in other situations those same eyes can look really striking or beautiful.
So I’m curious:
- Do other people ever perceive very light blue/grey eyes this way?
- Is it something about contrast, pupil size, or lighting?
- Or is it just a psychological association I have?
Not trying to insult anyone — just wondering if this is a known perception thing.
