Offshore jurisdiction for easy accounting with UK LTD owner?
For commercial reasons I need an offshore entity to work with some clients that aren't able to work with UK LTDs. This cannot be a US LLC either.
This new offshore company would need to be owned by my UK LTD, so would still be subject to UK corporation tax, so I'd hope for the offshore responsibilities and requirements to be as minimal as possible (so most of the focus remains on UK compliance & accounting).
By the time this is setup, I'd imagine:
- setup new offshore company owned by UK LTD
- offshore company earns revenue for work with these clients
- offshore company pays UK corporation tax, since it is owned by UK LTD and managed from UK (CFC rules).
- revenue distributed to my parent UK LTD as tax free dividends, since they were already taxed within the company.
Has anyone gone through something similar? I've read BVI seems to be a decent option. The simpler the better. Supposedly Caymans and Seychelles are painful from a regulatory standpoint.
Any recommendations on accountants/service providers to help manage this offshore (setup + offshore reporting + UK reporting/compliance/bookkeeping) for offshore entity)?
