i’m not gonna give all my arguments as to why jane is misjudged, misunderstood, and underrated, i just wanna talk about her season 3 death and debunk some anti-jane discussions.

i can see how jane’s suicide can seem selfish, but the reality is jane WAS pregnant. her and clementine were already caring for a baby. as we saw through rebecca’s birthing, there would be a slim chance for jane to survive the process of healing after giving birth. that would leave clem alone with TWO babies to care for. now THAT is a death sentence. i always viewed jane’s death as an act of strategy, her final way to protect clem.

here come all the slut shamers saying it’s her fault for having sex with luke. that’s a whole other discussion though.

there is a real lack of empathy for jane. i love kenny too, so i don’t want this convo to be “jane v kenny” rather than just about jane; that being said, the fandom is so quick to excuse kenny’s severe mental health issues and how they drove him to act, but when it comes to jane, the same grace is not applied. yes, the actions resulting from their mental instability were different, but the way we think about them in that regard could be equally as compassionate

definitely curious to hear what y’all think, whether you agree or disagree:)
