What would you do?

Everyone says my significant others parents should've been divorced a long time ago and I believe it more and more everyday. To preface he worked trucking for 30 plus years, she took care of kids for thirty years or so and she just started working about four or five years ago. Her husband has finally been home for the past three years or so since retirement. She has decided here recently to bring up at dinner at a restaurant that she's looking for an apartment and would like to move into it as soon as possible.... im very open to free will and all and I k now everyone has thier problems but it doesn't matter how much we've tried to help thier answer is we are old we won't change. Me personally I dont know how thats an answer to anything at any point but yeah. Now she just casually drops questions about internet and applications everywhere. My mother in law just assumes that everyone is gunna help her? And take it the doctors have now said that her husband has less than five years with his health and she wants to leave him to pay everythin and take care of the house and animals while she has an apartment for like a month and figures herself out? The smallest lease i know of is about 6 months unless your going through someone personal. Me personally I believe in just being honest and telling my significant other if im unhappy or leave if thats what you want. I certainly dont care to get in the middle of any of it but I think thats beyond ridiculous to treat your significant other like their needs and such basically dont exist. Along with being selfish enough to just throw this kinda shit on everyone like it was just gunna be A ok. I personally dont say any of my thoughts to them because i feel like its not entirely my place considering its my husbands parents but boy does the constant bickering get insane. Thoughts?
