Scammers sending $0.02 PayPal payments with fake customer service number in the payment note!!!!!

Just a heads up for anyone using PayPal. I received a $0.02 payment from “International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen (ISFHC).” It may also show something related to BethStockdell.com.

The scam is in the payment note. The sender puts a message telling you to call an 800 number about the payment. That note shows up in both the PayPal app and the email notification, which can make it look legitimate.

Do NOT call the number in the payment note. It is not PayPal and PayPal is aware of the scam and said many people are getting this.

If this happens to you: Remove your cards and bank accounts from PayPal Change your PayPal password Report the transaction to PayPal Call the real PayPal customer service number, not the one in the payment note. Just sharing so people are aware.
