birthday alone

Ahhh, today I turned 20

I’m in a new city. Moved here a few months ago for college. I’m a freshman. Far from home. Far from my old friends.

I have made some friends here. But today? I’m alone.

It feels weird.

I even had to tell my family it’s my birthday. Like, they forgot. Only two people wished me. That’s it.

Everyone else? Either forgot. Or just don’t care.

Kinda hurts.
