Rant
I JUST GOT TO THIS NEW WORK COLLECTIVE AND I ALREADY HAD THE WORST(in a while) FUCKING SOCIAL EXPERIENCE.
I would honestly rather stay alone and mind my own business than go through that shit again.
One guy in the group immediately decided I was the "shy one" that he needed to help open up like some kind of beautiful flower.
Ok?
All his questions, his staring and everything was aimed straight at me.
He kept fishing for answers, pushing me to talk, and I just felt more and more pressured. I was on the verge on crying. I was shaking.
I already hate those awkward social pauses and forced small talk, but this was the absolute worst version of it.
He kept repeating how shy I am and how I should try to speak more.
BRO. IT HADNT EVEN BEEN TWO HOURS SINCE WE MET.
I hate it so much. I hate that I have to perform to be normal. I hate how exhausting it is just to exist around people sometimes.
I hate that being quiet and keeping to yourself is automatically seen as weird, unfriendly, or even aggressive. I hate it so much.
