I've been doing a social experiment via Tinder to see what straight guys think about trannies
I live in a small-mid sized blueish college town and learned I passed in photos when I made a tinder account without mentioning that I'm trans. I've been slowly mentioning to people that I am via DMs to survey farm how they react/behave when informed and honestly it's getting harder to do so with each new person I do it for. Very humiliation based.
So far, out of 5 people I've had the nerve to mention it to:
3 unmatched or declined via text
1 verbally stated it was okay but then disengaged
1 verbally stated it was okay and we went on a date
I questioned him afterwards and he had never been with a trans woman before and when questioned on sexuality he said that he was bi curious lightly but had never done anything with men. He also confirmed that he didn't know before I mentioned it. Overall a very positive experience and he treated me like a woman both out of and in bed which helped the experiment feel less humiliating briefly.
I want to keep doing this for datas sake as I'm very curious whether or not shit is over even for a passing trans woman, but its emotionally damaging. None of the people that disengaged asked follow up questions like if I was post op. Results may be different if my disclosure included me being post op (I'm not so can't really) or if I had less clockier features like FFS as I assume most people see through my appearance once they're aware.
Yeah, I don't know, I'll probably keep drip feeding sample sizes but it makes me feel a bit sick to wait for the more than likely unmatch. I've had fruity ass guys unmatch after being told too which honestly hurt the most.
