Was this racism?

Back when I was 13 me and a white family member went to a mainly white town.

When we went to a store I was followed around and given dirty looks. When we went out to eat workers were kinda rude to me, slamming down food and shit.

That was mainly it, we didn’t stay for too long. I feel like I was overreacting, my white family member told me it wasn’t a big deal but my friends told me that it sounded scary. So I wanna know what y’all think.
