Tamron 28-75G2 Battery Drain

Z6III paired with the lens experience exceesive battery drain while the camera was turned off. Bettery dropped from fully charged down to ~45% over two nights sitting in the camera bag. The lens was purchased as a display model but was practivally brand new. Not sure if anyone is seeing similer behavior.

I did some googling and have seen similer comments by mostly sony users. I turned off the FN button and put the camera to airplane mode last night and only saw 1% bettery drop, which is much better than the DD%.
