Credit Card annual fee retention

I just noticed on my Southwest Business card a $299 annual fee, which is ridiculously higher than what I signed up for. I called Chase and they told me it was Southwest's doing, and that because I was a longstanding customer that Southwest is offering a $299 credit for the fee that would be applied to my next statement.

So give Chase a call to see if you can get your annual fee comped. I do not plan on using this card anymore because Southwest can go f itself, but I will keep the line of credit open for the next 11 months and 29 days.
