Missed the housing deadline

Last night, I opened the 26-27 housing application and realized it had actually closed at 5 PM. When I tell you my heart dropped, I'm not even kidding. I had been putting it off for a while bc I've been really overwhelmed with school and things going on in my personal life, and I mistakenly assumed the deadline was later like 11:59 ish.

I was rlly hoping to suite with friends next semester. My current living situation has been awful, I've had a terrible roommate and several uncomfortable, and at times racist, interactions with other students in my building and just on campus in general. The possibility of living in a suite with people I know and treat me kindly was something I was really looking forward to.

Of course, I applied for the waitlist (I'm number 8) and sent residential housing an email. What are the chances I get appealed?
