Cineworld Feltham...

Can anyone from the company and in particular Cineworld Feltham why it's necessary to keep the light on directly in front on the screen during a performance in their cinema please?

Have visited a few times now, most lights down apart from the light positioned here. First spotted in Screen 1 a month or so and thought it was a glitch/accident but seems to now be a thing...WHY?
