gave an interview and have been left stranded

hi. ive been searching for a job since september 2025. i’ve landed quite a few interviews in smaller companies but it hasn’t worked out. i applied for 2 large ones, both social sector. i finally got a response from the first one saying that they’ve hired another very close candidate but would potentially hire me for the second position that’ll start after a few months - not sure if those few months are 3 or 11, but it’s a huge organization (like the UN) so i know they work slow but will come back (have some hope there).

but this second job which i’ve given two interviews for and have to just get the final outcome… is getting delayed for so so long. it’s been a MONTH since my interview and they haven’t replied. for the UK redditors, it’s Natcen. i’m not sure why it’s taking so long, theyve been saying they’ll update me for a long time now but i’ve sent follow ups atleast three times now.

im UNABLE to move on. like i apply for a few jobs randomly but its so hard, especially when you reach the final round. i just want a reply. it’s an organisation that i like, work that i want to do, and an environment that will suit me. though the money is less i’m okay with it.

please help me out in giving advice that will help me move on. i know who the recruiters are too through linkedin but haven’t contacted them there cuz i think that’s too creepy - should I?

pls tell me what to do.
