should i become an electrician

hi. i’m 25m currently working as a warehouse employee for an automotive parts supplier. i have been in this job for 7 months and i make 19.75 an hour, working from 8am to 5pm (with an hour-long unpaid lunch break).

i hate my job, it hurts my body very much. i have injured my lower back somehow and now im living off of ibuprofen to continue to go to work.

i have saved up 5,100 dollars in my bank and 1,500 in a robinhood brokerage account, with another 2,600 put away in a roth ira. i live with my parents so my expenses are low, for now.

im sure everyone is aware that this is the worst job market in american history, and as such, i have been unable to find another job to switch to. i went to college for some years but never completed my degree due to mental health issues and financial problems.

ive been looking at trying to become an electrician. afaik they make decent money, the works they have long term job securities (regarding automation and ai) and it is the least objectionable trade i’m aware of.

is this a good idea? are there other avenues i should explore? any electricians feel free to sound off on the state of your field etc. thanks
