Hey everyone,
I’m currently working on a website project for Bball Coach 2, and I wanted to share some of the progress. I'm building a tool where you can upload your post-game screenshots, and an AI will read the data to generate an immersive narrative and a detailed, running career almanac for your coach.
I’m putting a ton of effort into the background logic to make sure the stat tracking, roster updates, and storytelling are as perfect as possible. Because of how deep the detail goes, it's taking some time to iron everything out!
Here is a quick update on where the project stands:
Current Progress: I haven't been able to run a full season through the generator yet. I'm currently stuck at 8 games into Season 1 because I keep catching glitches and general logic issues that need to be fixed before moving forward (things like stat-reading errors and UI flow).
The Rebuild Grind: The way I play, I always start from the absolute bottom. My team is unranked, we are playing unranked opponents, and we definitely aren't sniffing any awards this year. Because of this gritty playstyle, a lot of data points for the AI (like top-25 matchups, awards, and postseason brackets) are still missing from the code.
The Roadmap: Once I squash these early bugs, this initial trial framework should be fully capable of handling a complete 32-game regular season. Postseason play, tournaments, and end-of-year awards will be the next major hurdle after that!
It is a massive work in progress, but the goal is to make our dynasty saves feel like a living, breathing story. I'll keep you updated as I get closer to a full season test!
