AIO if my boyfriend never wants to introduce me to his family and friends

Throwaway due to reasons. My bf (31) and i (32) have been on and off for about 8 years now and in an LDR relationship. Only met twice in person. He said he did not want to introduce me to his family or friends until we live together and be with each other for longer in person. We’re also from different cultural and religious background respectively and can understand it would be an issue for his family. He said his friends know he’s seeing someone and I know who they are. it’s just that he never really have introduced us to one another. AIO to be upset about this?
