Needed feature: Open orders visibility for security when placing an order

I suggest a feature that I would find very helpful. When placing an order via the website, I cannot see any open orders for the security/option that I want to trade. Instead, I get a notice that the order cannot be placed because of an existing order. I then need to go to the Activities tab and change the order from there. It would be more streamlined if I could "go around" on an existing order from the Trade tab.

It seems like the capability is already there to show any open order for the particular security in place for the account. Is there a way to put this in place with existing options or is this a programming issue? If it makes a difference, my contact stream is through Active Trader.
