I dont hate kids
I understand that this subreddit is a safe place for many to come and rant about their bad situations and experiences. Here i felt understood and realized im not the only one with these feelings. I still do. But through out time and thinking i realized ... I dont have to hate kids to not want them.
Hate is a strong word and it comes alittle bit from my childhood, since other kids werent that nice to me back then. But after a bit of healing and sitting with my feelings and my thoughts, i realized i don't need to hate them or tell other people"i hate kids" to not have them. I can hang out with them and play around, i don't have to avoid them to show how much i dont want this in my life.
I have come to peace with my own feelings and that i don't need to have extreme emotions thowards it. Today a random small child at a bus station said that i look really pretty. I didnt expect it, kids are usually really mean, but it made my day. Doesn't make me want to give birth to one but honestly, i dont have to hate all of them either.
Im not saying all childfree people hate kids. Im saying that i did and now i dont anymore and i wanted to share, maybe there are more people like me.
