Obd2 scanner for buying a used car

So I'm just trying to see codes and cleared codes on used cars (no I'm not a dealer, just trying to avoid a lemon for myself) . So I was looking at the Ancel 410 but I see the new Ancel 410 pro and the FOXWELL n 310 plus will also check battery, starter, and crank test.

My first question is is the ancel 410 sufficient for what I need it to do and my second is should I pay a little more for the battery testing capabilities?

Also open to better recommendations
