Why are people leaving UAE?

I see a lot of people leaving UAE and taking flights to their respective countries via Oman. I discussed this with my friends and they said they would not leave UAE until there is a high alert / evacuation issued by the embassy. I don’t know if I am taking the right decision to stay here as I stay with my family and I want them to be safe as well. Is there something that they know which I don’t?🥲🥲
