Stroller Wars - Car 1 - Stroller 0 - Help with 3D modeling
Made the silly mistake of leaving our stroller behind our car in the garage and we lost the lower arm. This is a Wave Silver Cross stroller ($1.5k+) and we used it only 2x's. I called the manufacture and they will replace for $500 the lower base.
We have a Bambo printer but i have only printed small phone cases, remote backs and models i get off makerspace. This is out of my wheel house. I see that there is some 3D scanning software on the web and have spent $50 on a subscription that i just wasted my time with. I found a company in California that will model this part for $150 an HR (minimum 2) so doesnt make sense given i can get a new lower base for $500.
Looking for guidance on where to best get started in trying to model this part to avoid tossing this in the dumpster. I went to our local library class but was way beyond what they were teaching. im happy to compensate anyone whiling to help me and also open to trying and it fail. Im a firm believer in buying a $300 tool to fix the problem rather calling the plumber!
