I’ve traded 50/50 weight distribution for 50mpg lol! But yeah, i’m pretty sure i’ve posted here before but it amazes me how our little Mazda2, the funnest in its class, is the most underrated. I chose the M2 because I wanted something as fun as my NA miata but didn’t want to sacrifice the enjoyment. The M2 doesn’t disappoint, even as an enthusiast who drives many cars, this little Mazda excels in the corners. This tossable nature is what makes me fall in love with this car so much—you wouldn’t expect this kind of enjoyment from a commuter car. Sure, it’s not the 900kg RWD cheap and reliable roadster everyone loves, but it’s a rare breed of hatchback that actually talks to you through the steering wheel. I could say this to any other new Mazda, but this one is just different from the rest even the 3.

Been only a couple months of ownership but I’d say, it’s one of the better cars I’ve owned. If you’re a miata owner looking for a newer vehicle, its definitely worth a shot. But if you’re looking for a miata as a M2 owner, they’re both just as enjoyable. Anyway, after a couple of tunes with the stock exhaust and intake, I’m sitting at around 120-130hp on 95RON and a 7k revlimit. I’ll fab some headers soon so I’ll see how much power I could squeeze with 100RON, will update till then. And if you’re asking, yes, the miata is stock lol
