missing save file on steam

hello, bought the game from a third party which allowed me to redeem on steam.

still new into the game maybe 7-8 hours tops. what's weird is that all my achievements so far are on steam but on the actual game, no way to continue from old save file. had no luck finding the save file on hard drive.

any suggestions are welcome. thank you for reading
