Youth allowance savings

I have started receiving youth allowance payments and am wondering how much I am allowed to have in bank savings before there is a reduction or delay in my payment as a single with no dependents. On the website it says that there is a liquid assets waiting period if savings exceed $5500. However I have also found another page saying I can have assets of up to $579000 as a single non-homeowner. Does the waiting period apply if I am already receiving payments?
