The 3D AI space keeps moving fast again this week, with fresh updates from Tripo, Hitem3D, and Meshy.

**Tripo P1.0 is the biggest one here.**
Tripo just launched **Smart Mesh in Tripo Studio**, aimed at turning prompts into more structured, production-ready 3D meshes in around **\~2 seconds**.

Highlights:

* \~2 second generation
* smart topology
* more structured mesh output
* positioned for production-ready assets
* built with game pipelines, real-time rendering, web 3D tools, and scalable content workflows in mind

From the preview, the main pitch is pretty clear:
**faster prompt-to-mesh generation with cleaner topology and more usable outputs right away**, which is exactly the direction a lot of 3D AI users want.

The other 2 updates are smaller, but still interesting:

**Hitem3D 2.0**

* focused on stronger texture reconstruction
* claims better full 3D texture recovery from a single front-facing 2D image
* includes detail reconstruction even for hidden/back-side areas

**Meshy**

* showed a seamless PBR texture workflow
* generating base, normal, roughness, and height maps from text prompts
* more about speeding up texturing and reducing manual cleanup
