Thoughts on when husband should take his paternity leave?

I'm pregnant with my first. I get 6 months of paid leave, and my husband gets 2. We are extremely lucky, and I'm very grateful for our situation. My husband has to take the 2 months all at once. Based on your experience, would you suggest he take that 2 months right when the baby is born, or should he take it when I go back to work so we can extend not having to pay for daycare by 2 months?

If he didn't take the 2 months immediately, he'd probably use 5-10 days of PTO when the baby is born. We both have family in the area, so after PTO I could have family come and help me. TIA for your thoughts!
