Tax return- How do you actually do it

Hi everyone sorry if these are stupid questions but I'm a current F1 and I've never done a tax return before. Can someone please tell me:

1. The date by which you need to file a tax return. Do you have to wait for your F2 year to file it as you would be filing it for the previous financial year?

2. Is there a list of things you can claim for as an F1?

3. How do you actually go about doing it?
