Are there any real schizos here or is it all self diagnosed?

Noticed a lot of people with schizo in the username or flair, is it all self-diagnosed? I've been accused of having it from someone who had the ability to diagnose it, but never bothered to get the actual diagnosis.

How did you know you had it? How was your life? Did treatment help?
