Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo

My partner and I will be travelling from Kyoto to Tokyo and was wondering if there would be any issues with luggages if we were to buy the tickets on the spot? The price on the smartEX app seem to be alot steeper than third party websites and buying it at the station and was wondering if there would be any complications if we were to buy it on the spot intead.
