Bed Bugs while traveling

Hello, I've been in a hotel and noticed small blood splotches on the bed. The mattress at the hotel was wrapped in some kind of plastic mattress bag and I couldn't find any other signs of bed bugs. Planning to get both my bags in garbage bags and all of my clothes and soft items dried on high heat once I'm home. How should I treat the bags and electronics like a laptop? I've seen a lot of conflicting responses online
