Christians are brazenly hypocritical

I am probably the only athiest in my family. If there are others they hide it great. My family doesn't know I deconstructed but highly suspect I don't believe anymore. My mom has caught me rolling my eyes when she starts talking about the Bible and shit.

Last night im having dinner with them and they pray before eating and it's just something I suffer through. Well I had a stressful day yesterday and just feel like playing along and just sat there waiting for this to end so I can just eat.

After the prayer my dad says "you know you could bow your head or atleast close your eyes, you're talking to God!"

I just looked him in the eye and said, "How did you know i wasn't doing any of those things? Can you pass the potatoes?" I know it's a minor hypocrit move compared to others I've seen but it's just like really?

This morning my mom text me saying "you need to start taking prayer seriously it worries me about your soul. Have a great day" I just replied, "Thanks, you have a great day too." And didnt event aknkowledge the religious stuff. I've learned that's the best way to handle it just don't respond to it and address every other topic.

I'm not afraid to debate them on religion. I just don't have a use for it because I know the tactics and they will not be sincere in any counter argument I present and it will end with being told I am going to hell , so what's the point?

I watch the athiest experience and every caller has the same goddammit "arguments or edvidence"
