Golden State attempted to trade for Kawhi???

Report going around that the Warriors tried to trade for Kawhi Leonard before the deadline.

Honestly that sounds like something Golden State would at least look into. Steph is still playing at a high level and they know the clock is ticking on this window. If a player like Kawhi might be available you make the call and see what the situation is.

Nothing came from it obviously. The Clippers were not moving him mid season and it would have been pretty wild to send him to a division rival anyway.

The interesting part is what happens this summer. Kawhi’s situation in LA is still a little uncertain and if things go sideways there are going to be a lot of teams paying attention.

Golden State would definitely be one of them.
