Advise needed for a new vacuum

We just moved into a house that has carpeted stairs and 2400 sqft of wall to wall carpet (55oz medium to high pile). I also have maybe 600 sqft of tile and another 1000 sqft of hardwood floors. I really need a good vacuuum for the carpet preferably under $800. I was looking at the SEBO Felix.
