Can you have multiple garbage bins in Peel?
I hate to ask this here, but I can't get an answer one way or the other from Peel's website, and all my searches turn up are articles about the recent changes to recycling pickup.
I live in the basement unit of a rented suburban house. Four or five people live in the above-ground unit (I don't know for certain because we don't really talk except to split bills and coordinate things like checking the breakers or furnace or thermostat). Together, we apparently generate enough garbage that it fills the bin entirely every two weeks. It's been tolerable for most of the time I've been here, but a couple of weeks ago the upstairs neighbors accidentally set out the recycling in the morning instead of the garbage, so our entirely full garbage bin wasn't picked up until yesterday and we had to store bagged garbage in the garage. Today, I went to put my garbage in the bin that I thought would be fairly empty, and it was entirely full again, with more trash bags from my upstairs neighbors in the garage. This is clearly becoming unsustainable.
Does Peel Region let you have multiple trash bins, or am I just going to have to resign myself to bagging and tagging when the trash bin inevitably fills up again? I'm assuming the answer is "no, one house one bin," but I figured I would ask in the off chance there's a less advertised way to get a second bin. (Obviously I can also check whether we're not already on the largest trash bin, but I'm not going to be home for a couple of hours or so.)
