Policies not in place what would you do if this was you?

So I ran a trip. We have no trip policy and I had a meeting with admin prior to this to discuss the dos and don’ts of the trip. I specifically asked “what do I do if they go to the near by beach?” The manager said I let them as I can’t stop them.

Anyway some pics have surfaced of my kids on the beach. I don’t care they had the time of their lives and were all safe. Today admin came to pull me in to a meeting where I am being investigated for safeguarding errors and misconduct solely linked to this occasion. I am fuming! It’s surfaced as a couple of other trips have had issues in the last month. The 2 other issues were a lot more severe than mine. These are all aged 16+ not young kids.

Now the staff have refused to do trips and I am being investigated. Other staff were in the meeting so they don’t have a leg to stand on. I am so mad and the fact they do the cowardly thing and tell you on a Friday afternoon.
