Looking for Book Recommendations - History of Christianity in Relationship to Women, Witch Hunts, Royalty, Revision of the Bible. I'm non-religious, just fascinated. Any recommendations?

Hi! I am a non-religious feminist who is interested in the role that religion (specifically Christianity) has played in history. I'm specifically interested in the way that Christianity has oppressed women, and really all people except the privileged few.

I'm interested in how King James hated witches and how that may have contributed to wording in "his" version of the bible. I'm interested in how he used Christianity to wield power against and opress women that he called witches.

I'm interested in how those early actions impact Christianity and society today.

Does anyone have any good recommendations of books, or documentaries, or podcasts, or articles, to start with? I'm having a hard time figuring out where to start since it's such a HUGE and often controversial area of study.

Very much interested in academic and verified, and relatively objective information.

Thank you :)

(Edited to include podcasts and the last statement about looking for academic and verified info).
