There is a difference between having a dating preference and being a dick about having a dating preference.

One with a preference shuts the fuck up and quietly seeks out the kind of people they want to date, while politely turning down people that don’t without mentioning their preferences. One who is a dick about having preferences talks and posts endlessly about those preferences and constantly demeans other people for not meeting them. If someone who doesn’t meet those preferences asks them out they respond with insults and slurs.

Most people who publicly post about their preferences on social media are the later.
