Are nexus missions just constantly glitched?

I never try to do nexus missions. For the same reason: They ALWAYS glitch out and become impossible. Progress not recorded,ect... I think i have managed to complete around two without them bugging out and that was years ago.

Today i tried again: hack a sentinel pillar. I land, find the sentinel pillar, but it stays on "locate the pillar". Search visor doesn't do anything. Same problem for my teammates. I swear i've had this issue before. Are they just never fixing that?
