AI not familiar with family members?

I have one story where two of the people in the story are step mother and step son and the step mother has a child with the step son's dad and it kept calling the step son the "uncle" lol

Have a current one that keeps calling a step daughter a "niece" it goes back and forth with niece and step daughter lol
