Barrel Extender for Suppressor

:post-question: question

I have a Springfield Armory Saint Victor with a 7.5" barrel. It is VERY loud and so I have decided to buy a suppressor for it.

The problem I am seeing is that the handguard extends just past the end of the barrel. I would like to keep the stock handguard because it looks and feels good and from what I can tell, there aren't a lot of options that won't require having to replace the barrel nut. So I am looking at buying a simple barrel extender between 0.75"-1.5". I have seen option from Hughes Precision, Kaw Valley, and a couple others for about the same price. But the internet being what it is, it's hard to find any clear consensus on if they are a good idea.

My main concern is the pressure. I already had to narrow my suppressor options down to ones rated for shorter barrels so I don't damage it, but how much of that matters for the extension? It's obviously another potential point of failure, but it doesn't seem like it would be any different mechanically from adding any other thread adapter or mounting device, which are common anyway.

Has anyone here had any experience with barrel extenders and care to weigh in? Am I overthinking? Suggestions for a brand are welcome as well.
